Clarity Over Coffee

I keep a list on my phone of things I want to remember and this has been sitting there unwritten for months. Standing in my kitchen in Des Moines making coffee like any other Tuesday, I felt something speak into a decision I'd been avoiding for a year, not in words exactly, but with a clarity so complete and so clearly not mine that I knew immediately it had come from outside me. I made the call that afternoon. I still don't fully understand where that certainty came from, but I've trusted it since, certain the way you're certain of gravity, without needing proof each time.
