Thirty Seconds
Sacramento, USA·June 12, 2026
For about thirty seconds everything was made of the same thing. The river, the trees, the path, my hand, same substance. And whatever that substance was, it felt awake. I actually stopped my watch when it ended because I wanted to know how long it lasted. Thirty seconds exactly. I was out on my morning run, nobody around, and then just a river and just me again. No framework for it. Not going to build one. But for thirty seconds everything was one thing and it was alive and I felt it and that's what happened.
